HELP University (HU) held a campus visit on 29 May 2015 for SMK St. Andrew and SMJK Pei Hwa at HELP ELM Business School. Both of these schools are top schools in Muar, Johor in terms of academic and extra-curricular activities. This was the first time that these schools visited HU. Overall 85 students and 6 teachers attended this campus-tour. They were very pleased at the facilities and the quality of the lecturers in HELP Matriculation Centre (HMC).
The main objective of this campus tour was to create future leaders as HU is a university of achievers. There were talks and sessions that were carried out to show these students that they are capable of anything if they put their minds to it. An organizational objective was to provide HU’s campus and facilitators to these schools to ensure effective learning, comfort and the quality of the campus and the facilitators.
This campus-tour was initiated with lunch where the students and teachers enjoyed the lunch prepared by HU. After lunch, HMC carried out a Leadership Camp which was led by the lecturers from HMC. After the Leadership Camp, HMC then carried out an Information Technology (IT) workshop where one of HMC’s best lecturers, Steven Yong explained the fundamentals of IT.
Students and teachers of the two schools were very happy with HU’s facilities and the talks given by HMC. They said it was, “insightful” and thought them a lot. A lot of the students seemed very interested in the programs offered by HELP after attending these talks. A lot of them asked for more workshops in the near future. One of the students even said, “This day went by so fast, I don’t want to go back yet”. This clearly showed that the students truly enjoyed their time here in HU. HU will definitely be carrying out more campus tours and visits. For further information on these campus-tours given out by HU, please do refer to http://www.help.edu.my/ or call +603-2716 2000.
