KUALA LUMPUR, 23 April 2015 – HELP University held its HELP TechDay on 15 April 2015 at HELP University, ELM Business School. HELP TechDay is an exhibition where final year IT students showcase their projects under the mentorship of IT sector organizations such as Nikon. This exhibition included the development of mobile applications, educational games and software projects.
Among the exhibitions was a device known as the 3D Modeling and Printing Device. When interviewed, a year one student doing his diploma in IT, Ng Wooi Jing explained that this is a new method of printing, using ones imagination. Ng explained that the program is known as “SketchED”. “All you have to do is design it on the computer program, then export the file into the printer, another program known as “UP” and you’re good to go”, explained the year one student. There is no doubt that in this era, our future lies in this device.
There were other devices and programs that were very interesting such as little robots and video games created to enhance language skills. Overall, this was a very successful event as the new programs and applications designed created hype in people that visited this exhibition.
