Meet Sukhveer Singh. He completed the Foundation in Arts program and is currently doing the Bachelor in Business program at HELP University. He is one of HELP’s “sports achievers” and here is what he had to say about HELP University:
“Hello, my name is Sukhveer Singh, I am 23 years of age and I am currently doing the Bachelors in Economics program at HELP University. I enjoy sports which include running and playing football.
I started HELP’s Foundation in Arts program when I was 18 years old. I started off as an extremely shy person. Coming from an all-boys school into HELP University, it was not easy talking to girls. Eventually I got the hang of it as everyone here is so friendly. I have even made some amazing friends that I will keep for the rest of my life at HELP University.
I started my Bachelors in Economics at HELP when I was 20 years old. The reason I chose to venture into economics was because I met the most amazing lecturer during my Foundation in Arts course. His name is Mr. Alex Chin and he inspired me to want a career in economics.
At HELP University, I am known as an athlete or a “sports achiever”. I started my “sports life” in HELP University at 19. Being a sports achiever is not easy. From constant training to injuries, it is very difficult to remain the best at sports. Each year however, HELP University helped me improve and finally, I represented HELP University for the 200m, 400m and even the 4x400m open.
I was also able to take part in the Kuala Lumpur (KL) state open where I obtain the 3rd place medal for the 4x400m open. Other than that, I have taken part in the Perak state open and other sports categories with MAPCU , MASISWA and SUKIPT.
With the help of HELP University, I was able to obtain a partial scholarship for my degree for representing the university. It is important to maintain good grades and perform well in sports, a well balance plan was provided by lecturers and tutors at HELP University.
I would recommend HELP to other students because it is a great platform for both education and sports. HELP has helped me achieve my dreams. Now it is time for you to achieve yours with HELP.”
