KUALA LUMPUR – HELP University’s (HU) Student Representative Council will be carrying out an entrepreneurship talk on 24 June 2015, from 12pm to 2pm at HELP University, KPD A (A2). This talk will be delivered by Mr. Leon Foong, General Manager of UberX Malaysia and is open to all students at HU. UberX is one of the many private car services that Uber has to offer. UberX is Uber’s low cost option; it allows you to get from point A to point B without putting a hurt on your pocket.
This talk will be delivered to not promote UberX but to bring successful entrepreneurs to advice HU’s future entrepreneurs. The main objective of this talk would be to help students own their leadership. As HU is a “University of Achievers”, student leadership at HU is arguably the most beneficial extracurricular activity. Though there are no grades and zero credits to earn, the experience gained from this talk will be valuable for a lifetime.
“From this talk, students can get to view the different perspective of entrepreneurship along with adding some flavor to their leadership traits”, said President of the Student Representative Council, Ariff Ariffin Hew, who is currently doing his Bachelors In Business at HU. “It is important for these students to hear first-hand experience from the General Manager of UberX as Uber was one of the companies that started off as a small company and has blossomed into such a well-known company”, he ended.
For those of you who are contemplating on whether to attend this talk, there will be free lunch provided after this talk. Now if an excellent talk along with a free lunch doesn’t excite you, then I don’t know what would.
HU’s Student Representative Council carries out one talk per semester. They have carried our four, well-attended talks so far and hopes to carry out many more of these talks in the near future to help students at HU become achievers. Part of HU’s mission is to help students become entrepreneurs. For further information on HU, please do refer to http://www.help.edu.my/ or call +603-2716 2000. Be an achiever with HU.
