Alderman Alan Yarrow, the Lord Mayor of the City of London, was a special guest at HELP University last week to witness the signing of an MOU between HELP and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI). The MOU provides for the offering of CISI courses in financial services, investment and wealth management by HELP University to professionally qualify candidates to service the growing economies of the region. It was signed by Datuk Dr Paul Chan, Vice-President of HELP, and Mr Ken McGowan, Regional Director (Asia) of CISI.
Complementing the current strong HELP offerings in business, accounting, finance and entrepreneurship, the CISI courses will add a new strand of expertise to HELP’s overall academic programs. Alderman Yarrow is on a visit to Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia to promote trade and commerce between these countries and the City of London. A chartered banker, Alderman Yarrow is the chairman of CISI.
